In September 1958, following a refit at Devonport, she left for Malta to serve as the repair ship of the Mediterranean Fleet and now wore an overall light grey (named Mediterranean Light Grey). This was to be her final colour scheme as in August 1964 she arrived in Portsmouth from Malta to pay off for disposal.
